Vibration damper mounts

Vibration damper mounts, also known as silent blocks, isolate vibration, absorb shock and reduce noise transmitted between mechanical parts, using vulcanised elastomer bonded to steel, stainless steel or aluminium inserts. FP Modena supplies standard and bespoke mounts in SBR, NBR, EPDM and silicone, for motors, compressors, pumps and electrical panels.

Male-male mount

Threaded stud on both sides, bolted between two facing surfaces. One of the most widely used configurations for motors, compressors, pumps and generating sets.

Male-female mount

Threaded stud on one side, threaded hole on the other. Allows in-line mounting or combination with other fixing elements.

Female-female mount

Threaded holes on both sides, suited to mounting on plates or bases where studs are already fitted to the structure.

Male foot mount

Flat mounting base with a threaded stud on top, used as a foot for machinery, electrical panels, compressors and benchtop equipment.

Conical

Frustoconical shape that engages a progressively larger cross-section under load, providing progressive stiffness and increasing damping as the applied load increases.

Hourglass

Profile with a reduced central section, offering high flexibility in both compression and shear, for suspensions and motor mounts.

Bell

Inverted bell shape for predominantly axial loads, used to support heavy machinery and for low-frequency vibration.

Female foot mount

Flat base with a threaded hole. Same function as the male foot mount, with the fixing reversed.
